Record times here are unofficial (& disagree with those previously given
in the Boat Race official programme & in the British Rowing Almanack,
but you can see whether you agree with their arithmetic or mine).
The Almanack gave 2:46.5 for Oxford 2002 from Mile to Hammersmith, but this
was 3:38 to 6:23.5
It gave 2:46 for Oxford 1984 from Barnes Bridge to the Finish (as did the
programme), but this was 13:57 to 16:45.
The programme gave 9:57 for Cambridge 1998 from the Mile Post to Barnes Bridge,
but this was 3:33 to 13:32.
It gave 9:56 for Cambridge 1998 from Hammersmith Bridge to the Finish, but
this was 6:20 to 16:19.
